Loras Couple Pays It Forward

Georgeann Ligori (’92), Jim Collins (’84), and Keith Ligori (’92)
For Keith and Georgeann Ligori, Loras College is more than just their alma mater—it’s where they built a foundation for life. The couple, both 1992 graduates, met, married while at Loras, and grew into the people they are today through the support of faculty, staff, and lifelong Loras friends.
“Loras is unique because of the people,” Keith shares. “The relationships we formed and the values we learned have stayed with us.” From playing football for Coach Bierie to working closely with Dianne Gibson, the former director of the Lynch Center, Keith credits Loras with preparing him for law school and his career as a managing partner at Ligori & Ligori PA.
Georgeann echoes this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of Catholic education. “Loras provided a well-rounded experience—academically, spiritually, and morally. It shaped our future,” she says.
The Ligoris, who will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary this year, are dedicated supporters of Loras, giving as much as they can each year to ensure the gift of a Catholic education continues for current and future students. “The world needs Catholic education now more than ever,” Georgeann explains. “We have to support it in any way we can.”
For Keith and Georgeann, philanthropy isn’t just about giving back—it’s about paying it forward to the next generation of Duhawks.
